We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Transport Depot Manager to oversee the operations of our fleet of 100+ trucks. The ideal candidate with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in trucking and logistics. This role involves managing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport of goods, fleet management, logistics planning, compliance, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients. Oversee sales activities related to transportation and logistics services.
- Operations Management: Supervise the daily operations of the truck depot, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and overall condition of the fleet.
- Logistics Planning: Organize, plan, and optimize routes and schedules for timely delivery. Ensure efficient use of resources and reduce operational costs.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all trucks and operations comply with local and international transport regulations. Maintain safety standards and manage risk assessments.
- Team Supervision: Lead, motivate, and manage a team.
- Budget & Cost Control: Monitor operational costs, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality service.
- Management reports
- Customer Service: Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting delivery deadlines and addressing any service-related issues or complaints promptly.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in managing fleet operations or in a similar logistics management role, particularly in trucking or transportation.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and logistics tools.
- Excellent knowledge of logistics, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets and control costs.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Knowledge of Russian/Kazakh languages.
