What you will be doing

Maintaining PostgreSQL database infrastructure in optimal condition.
Improving scalability, availability, and efficiency of database infrastructure.
Providing feedback to product teams to enhance availability and efficiency of business applications through support and collaboration.
Maintaining technical documentation.
Applying best practices whenever possible and establishing/following procedures for critical activities.
Managing service capacity planning, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
Ensuring the healthy lifecycle status of database infrastructure components.
Leading disaster recovery tests by manually shutting down infrastructure components to evaluate overall system resiliency to failures.

What we expect from you

Knowledge and understanding of RDBMS concepts and architecture in general.
At least 3 years of DBA experience in production environments.
A creative problem solver with strong analytical thinking.
Proven experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
Experience with running databases in clustered environments like LXD.
Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written).
MySQL and/or MongoDB handling is an advantage.
A university degree is an advantage.
