We are looking for a Risk officer, who will contribute to delivering on a robust testing framework within Operational Risk Team within the Core Functions Team.
Operational Risk Testing is an independent 1st LoD (Line of Defence) control testing and monitoring unit with the aim to ensure that controls are designed and operated effectively to mitigate the key risks within our organisation.
Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you a different seniority for the role.
Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office.).
This role does not include a relocation allowance for candidates who are not based in Lithuania, Denmark or Poland.
You will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive control testing for Operational Risks across the organization incl. test scripts for key controls, determining appropriate testing terminology and frequency among others
- Analyze and interpret test results to highlight areas of effective practices and improvement for Operational Risks across Business areas
- Assess control rating following testing for both design and operational effectiveness. Identifying opportunities for test automation for key controls
- Collaborate with the teams across the Core Functions in the Nordics, Lithuania and Poland
- Support escalation of test results and monitoring for Senior management and Governing Risk Committees
- Collaborate with team members on monitoring of transactions, to ensure proper investigation and escalation as required
- Bring a collaborative and conscientious mind-set
About you:
- 3 years+ of non-financial risk management experience, particularly in Operational risks, with an understanding of risk and control management practices in the 1st Line of Defence
- Comprehensive knowledge of Investment products and trade markets, with practical ability to combine risk management principles with the needs of the business, particularly within Investment Markets or Personal Banking
- Knowledge of the regulatory landscape including frameworks such as EMIR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II and best execution practices would be beneficial
- The ability to look beyond the numbers and identify the underlying risk drivers and trends, coupled with ability to identify process and control improvement opportunities
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills to convey complex findings in a concise and easily understandable manner
- Experience working with stakeholders across organizational lines
- Advanced English skills, both written and spoken; knowledge of any Nordic language is beneficial
- Higher education would be considered as a beneficial asset
We offer
Monthly salary range from 2640 EUR to 3960 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
